For Parents:
Independent Evaluations
Independent Evaluations
Monteleone Haught Educational Services, LLC operates as an independent service provider through school districts. This means that we do not provide private evaluation services. This is done to ensure that your child isn't limited by a budget– your New Jersey public school is able to pay for these evaluations, if requested by you as a parent. You should not have to pay out of pocket for an evaluation if your school is capable of securing the evaluation at their cost.
If you are concerned that your school has not completed an evaluation that demonstrates your child's needs, you are entitled to request an independent evaluation as part of your New Jersey Parental Rights in Special Education (PRISE). You may ask your school district to utilize Monteleone Haught Educational Services as an independent evaluator to have an outside opinion.
Evaluations are tailored to your child's specific needs, utilizing only the most up-to-date practices and research in child and adolescent development. Unlike most school evaluations, as an independent evaluator we can provide specific recommendations and suggestions for the school district to implement to ensure that your child is getting the education they deserve.
If you are interested in utilizing Monteleone Haught Educational Services as your independent evaluator, please contact us for more information.
